Eco Buildings Group PLC - London-based designer, manufacturer and builder of modular housing - Albanian subsidiary Eco Buildings Group Albania completes "a comprehensive and independent programme of testing" to meet European, EN, and International, ISO, standards, both of which are also equivalent to British standards, BS. Company says test results confirm its proprietary glass fibre reinforced gypsum wall system's strong performance. The GFRG walls "meet or exceed the thresholds required for structural integrity, safety, durability and environmental efficiency". Eco Buildings can now present a single recognised dataset across EU and UK regulatory jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and reducing approval deadlines. It expects this to give it a competitive advantage. Adds that it is currently advancing plans for its first UK modular production facility, and "can now engage with UK developers, housing associations and local authorities confident that its system satisfies domestic compliance and performance benchmarks". All groundworks and foundations for the 18-unit apartment building have been completed, triggering an initial 10% contract payment, worth EUR220,000, from the developer to Eco Buildings.
