IN BRIEF: Kefi Gold secures USD340 million for Tulu Kapi in Ethiopia

Kefi Gold & Copper PLC - gold and copper exploration and development in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia - Raises GBP774,245 before expenses from its retail share offer, just short of its GBP1 million goal. Kefi will issue 59.6 million new shares at 1.3 pence each under the retail offer. As a result, Kefi expects to raise GBP6.9 million in total from its share placing and retail offer. A further GBP8.9 million in liabilities have been settled from a share subscription at the same price. Read More

Kefi Gold & Copper PLC - Nicosia, Cyprus-based miner focused on Tulu Kapi gold project in Ethiopia - Expects the signing of the USD240 million Tulu Kapi Gold Project debt capital offering to occur this week. Company says this follows a now-resolved procedural matter that one syndicate party was required to address last week. Says the overall process remains on schedule, with various construction projects and equity capital arrangements already advancing. Kefi adds that it has unused working capital resources and undrawn facilities in place, pending the drawdown of the full Tulu Kapi financing.
