Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC - London-based blockchain and cryptocurrency group - Announces its resumption of quantum research for cryptocurrency mining in partnership with a research team at Milan University. The company notes its proprietary SHA-256 algorithm, which it expects to aid with cryptographic hashing to mine cryptocurrency in the future. Says Francesco Gardin, QBT chief executive officer: "We are excited about the resumption of our quantum computing programme... allowing us to build directly on the work already completed and accelerate our progress."
