Xtract Resources PLC - London-based diversified metals and minerals producer - Reports positive phase 2 metallurgical test work results for the Amghas antimony mine development, which it says confirm further technical progress and support its strategy to advance Amghas towards commercial production. Says results indicate that Amghas has the potential to produce a high-grade antimony concentrate exceeding the required 55% antimony threshold. Antimony recovery "was not dependent on ore grind size," which "supports the potential for lower grinding intensity and associated operating cost benefits during commercial production." Also highlights that lead present in the host mineralisation "has been successfully removed from the antimony stream and converted into a separate saleable product." Also notes that the phase 2 studies were in parallel with the ongoing development of a gravity plant at Amghas, which Xtract expects to provide early cash flow and a practical proof of concept.
