Resolute Mining Ltd - gold mining in Mali, Senegal and Ivory Coast - Output at the Syama gold mine has "remained below plan" since Resolute's second-quarter update, "due to the challenging operating environment in Mali". Resolute cuts 2026 production guidance as a result. Mali has been ravaged by war for nearly 15 years, and on Friday last week at least 100 Malian army soldiers were killed in a jihadist attack that was one of the deadliest of the conflict, AFP reports. Resolute says the situation is harming underground mining, open pit mining and sulphide processing alike.
