Rio Tinto PLC - London-based metals processing and mining - Signs accord with Green Lithium Refining Ltd for a commercial partnership to develop a lithium supply chain. Green Lithium plans to build a lithium refinery in Teesside, England that will supply high-purity lithium chemicals to the UK and EU markets for use in batteries. This is intended to reduce European dependence on supplies from China.
