Sells Celitron, an 'eco-med' business in Hungary, and Zer Laboratories, an administrator of third-party pre-natal diagnostic tests in Israel. BATM receives a total of USD383,000 for these two loss-making businesses, which it had been preparing to close. Also completes the sale of Progenetics Ltd, a distributor of genetic tests, receiving USD2 million for its 51% stake. BATM will announce its half-year results on August 18. Read More

BATM Advanced Communications Ltd - Israel-based provider of technology for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems - Pretax profit is USD1.5 million in 2023, down 23% from USD1.9 million in 2022. Revenue rises 5.8% to USD122.8 million from USD116.1 million, but operating expenses increase by 9.8% to USD38.2 million from USD34.8 million. Looking ahead, BATM says it entered 2024 with positive momentum in its core activities. It plans to focus on these, and a build-up of its sales team to do so contributed to the higher operating expenses last year. It also will explore the sale of secondary businesses.
