Blencowe Resources PLC - developing the Orom-Cross graphite project in Uganda - Notes US Department of Commerce's recent determination imposing roughly 160% antidumping and countervailing duties on graphite active anode material imports from China. Says a final affirmative determination is expected in March from the US International Trade Commission. If this happens, Blencowe expects the measures to apply for at least five years and to be additive to existing tariffs. Says the measures reinforce "the accelerating policy-driven transition toward secure, diversified, non-China graphite supply chains across both battery and advanced industrial markets." Believes they also "underpin the long-term development case for Orom-Cross across multiple high-value end markets", as the project is well-positioned "to support this evolving supply landscape". Blencowe Resources PLC - London-based mining company - Reports further "excellent" drilling results from Beehive deep holes L237B and L239B. The newly discovered Beehive deposit is located close to the existing Northern Syncline and Camp Lode deposits at the Orom-Cross graphite project in Uganda. Blencowe says the results continue to highlight Beehive as a "thick, continuous graphite system and reinforces its potential to deliver meaningful higher-grade early production tonnes within the broader Orom-Cross mining strategy." Blencowe says the results further support Orom-Cross as a graphite system of "sufficient scale to underpin long-life and multi-decade production; a key consideration for strategic and institutional funding groups." Assay results from the remaining holes are expected near term. Blencowe Resources PLC - London-based mining company - Says definitive feasibility study confirms "outstanding economics" for its Orom-Cross graphite project. Says DFS assesses an initial 15-year life of mine and that it expects "significant" extensions "as further drilling converts additional resources to reserves", since only around 2% of the deposit is drilled so far. DFS highlights include a net present value of USD1.09 billion, average annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of USD230 million per year over the LOM, and free cash flow of USD2.03 billion over the initial 15 years. Also, DFS gives Orom-Cross a 96% projected internal rate of return and all-in sustaining costs of USD485 per tonne over LOM. Company says the project will start with phase 1 production, and that its "primary corporate focus" is the "immediate next step" of securing the funding package to initiate ordering, construction and commissioning. It will implement phase 2 within two years of P1 commissioning. Read More
