Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

Marston's, up 18% at 54.50p, 12-month range 40.85p-69.20p.For the year ended September 26, the pub company expects underlying pretax profit at the top end of market expectations, which it puts at a GBP76.1 million to GBP83.2 million range. "We have delivered a third consecutive year of significant profit growth, margin improvements and strong recurring free cash flow," Chief Executive Officer Justin Platt says. "Our progress over the last three years shows the momentum we have as a high margin, highly cash generative local pub company, with profits substantially up and debt levels halved. With clear strategic priorities and our new format conversion programme expanding to at least 100 pubs next year, we enter the new year well set to drive our next phase of growth." Underlying pretax profit in financial 2025 amounted to GBP72.1 million.

----------

Cavendish, down 15% at 7.00p, 12-month range 6.50p-11.50p. Cavendish shares hit this 12-month low on Tuesday as the investment bank as it reports "challenging conditions in the year to date". It expects to report revenue of GBP22.8 million for the half-year to September 30, down from GBP28.5 million a year prior. "We have a healthy pipeline of both public and private transactions, including IPOs. However, as we have seen in the first half of the year, completion timetables, and therefore revenue visibility, remain difficult to predict. Against this backdrop, we will continue to exercise strict cost controls," it says.

----------

Impax Asset Management Group, down 10% at 91.10p, 12-month range 90.00p-200.00p. It has reported a decline in assets under management, still gripped by net outflows, though it is seeing "environmental themes" performing strongly in the equity markets. The investment manager focused on sustainable ventures says assets under management at its September 30 fourth quarter end fell 14% to GBP20.05 billion, from GBP23.29 billion in June. It reports a net outflow of GBP2.39 billion, as well as a GBP850 million hit from performance, market movements and foreign exchange. Year-on-year, assets under management have shrunk by 23% from GBP26.06 billion, amid GBP7.78 billion worth of net outflows. "The net outflows for the quarter were concentrated in actively managed listed equities (75% of AUM) and principally reflect the 'lag effect' of clients responding to the previous weaker investment performance of some strategies," CEO Ian Simm says. "Between 2023 and 2025 these strategies were challenged by an equities market dominated by a narrow part of the technology sector and our thematic strategies' investment opportunities were out of favour. However, since the start of 2026 there has been a significant change in equities markets, with environmental themes in particular performing more strongly, as investors reconsider areas such as energy security, resource efficiency and electrification, particularly in the context of the build out of AI."

----------

YouGov PLC, up 6.5% at 287.00p, 12-month range 135.40p-298.50p. The research and data analytics group reports a pretax profit decline of 66% to GBP6.2 million for the year ended July 31, from GBP18.1 million. Revenue, however, rose 2.0% to GBP396.6 million from GBP388.9 million. Chief Executive Officer Stephan Shakespeare says the firm "performed in line with the guidance provided". In addition, it announces a GBP15 million share buyback. "The board believes there is a disconnect between the prevailing share price and the company's intrinsic value, and as a result the board has re-evaluated its distribution policy for this year," it says. It is replacing its dividend with a buyback, believing it to be a "more efficient use of capital".

----------

Victorian Plumbing Group PLC, up 2.9% at 84.33p, 12-month range 63.86p-90.00p. The bathroom retailer hails record revenue in the year to September 30, and it expects to report profit ahead of market expectations. In a trading statement, it says adjusted pretax profit rose to GBP22 million from GBP21.8 million a year prior, topping consensus of GBP21.7 million. Revenue increased 11% to GBP344 million from GBP310.0 million.
