IN BRIEF: Tap Global confirms Moorwand as Tap Mastercard issuer

Tap Global Group PLC - London-based digital finance platform providing cryptocurrency trading, payments and digital-asset services - appoints Moorwand Ltd as issuer and Bank Identification Number sponsor for a new multi-currency Tap Mastercard, replacing its existing euro-denominated card. The new card will allow customers to spend directly from currency balances held in the Tap app, rather than converting from euros at the point of sale. Moorwand already provides Tap's e-money accounts. Tap says the new card programme will support expansion into additional markets and generate revenue from card interchange and foreign exchange. Tap Global Chief Executive Officer Arsen Torosian comments: "A multi-currency card has been the feature requested most often by our customers, and this programme delivers it. It also gives us a stronger foundation for new payment features and expansion into additional markets over time. Card interchange and FX are operating revenue, so every card we put in a customer's hand earns for the group. This is the card our 400,000 customers should have." Read More

Tap Global Group PLC - London-based cryptocurrency payment and settlement - Raises GBP1.0 million before expenses from a placing of 100.0 million new shares at 1.0 pence each. The equity raise is in line with the plan Tap Global had announced after the London market close on Friday last week, and is "heavily oversubscribed", the company says. Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder Arsen Torosian subscribes for 17.5 million of the placing shares and now holds 460.0 million shares, a 54.5% stake. Read More
