IN BRIEF: Costain wins GBP45 million Severn Trent contract

Costain Group PLC - Maidenhead, England-based construction and engineering company - Severn Trent PLC has selected Costain to deliver "critical infrastructure upgrades" at its Rugby Newbold Sewage Treatment Works, in a programme valued at around GBP45 million and set to run until 2028. Costain says it will be the principal designer and contractor, "designing and building new facilities and upgrading systems to improve operational resilience and increase the site's feed and storm capacity." Notes that the contract builds on the firms' existing partnership which started with a 2010 AMP5 framework contract.
