----------

FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:

----------

GB Group PLC, down 26% at 171.2p, 12-month range 167.40p-265.00p. It cuts its revenue growth aim, as it grapples with tough trading conditions in the Americas Identity arm. The identity verification and fraud prevention company said revenue for the year ending March 2027 is to rise between 1% and 3%, the outlook cut from mid-single digit growth previously. "First quarter revenue in Americas Identity was only marginally below our plan, but growth has not improved in the second quarter as we have seen higher than expected volume attrition on a few material customers. While our sales pipeline remains strong, the time required to convert opportunities into recognised revenue given our normal sales cycle means the impact of this attrition is unlikely to be mitigated within the current financial year," the firm says.

----------

Michael Page PLC, up 5.5% at 205.7p, 12-month range 101.24p-268.60p. Shares in the recruiter spike to their highest level since February after UBS raises the stock. "Michael Page has lagged the recent staffing rally, but now looks set to enter the same period of earnings stabilisation as peers," the Swiss bank says. The Weybridge, Surrey-based firm recently rebranded from PageGroup PLC. The company had changed its name to PageGroup from Michael Page International PLC back in 2016. However, Michael Page remained its UK brand.

----------

Funding Circle Holdings PLC, up 4.6% at 249.5p, 12-month range 113.20p-252.02p. Shares spike to a one-year high on the back of a bullish note from Deutsche Bank Research. Deutsche analysts believe the lending platform's pretax profit could quadruple to GBP81 million in 2029 from GBP20 million in 2025, "driven by strong revenue growth".

----------

Sage Group PLC, up 3.4% at 1,049.5 pence, 12-month range 771.66p-1,043.50p. Shares in the enterprise software firm have been hit by artificial intelligence worries so far this year, losing 3%. But a Reuters report about possible takeover interest in New York-listed Workday Inc put software shares in focus in Europe on Friday. SAP SE is up 4.5% in Frankfurt. Sage suffered a near 10% slump in a single trading alone back in February, amid the perceived threat of agentic AI tools for software and data providers. The likes of Relx and Experian also suffered. "It's interesting to note that the top five risers on the FTSE 100 included Sage, Experian and Relx – all united by markets fears earlier this year about how AI could disrupt their respective businesses, which led to share price weakness," AJ Bell analyst Dan Coatsworth comments. Sage Chief Executive Officer Steve Hare in a Linkedin post back in February set out his thoughts on the software sell-off. "At Sage, we're excited by the pace of AI innovation, and we see new advances in frontier models as complementary to our sector and category.

These technologies will keep improving the tools available to everyone, including us. At the same time, finance is different. In accounting, payroll, tax and compliance, "nearly right" isn't right enough. Customers need outcomes they can trust: accurate, auditable, explainable, and under human accountability. That is where Sage is differentiated: decades of deep domain expertise, trusted systems of record, rich workflow context, and AI built for real business outcomes, not AI theatre," he said.

----------

Aviva PLC, up 0.6% at 717.60p, 12-month range 590.60p-721.00p. Shares hit this 12-month high on Friday. Aviva says it enjoyed a "strong" first half of 2026 and the insurer backed its longer-term outlook. Operating profit in the first half of the year increased 24% to GBP1.33 billion from GBP1.07 billion a year prior, the insurer said. Operating profit topped Visible Alpha consensus of GBP1.25 billion. Aviva has raised its interim dividend by 6.9% to 14.0 pence from 13.1p.
