(Alliance News) - Costain Group PLC hailed a "landmark moment" in its selection for a four-year civil engineering and infrastructure framework.
The London-based firm provides infrastructure construction for the transport, water, energy and defence sectors.
It has been appointed to work on Pagabo's civil engineering and infrastructure framework, which it said represents Pagabo's largest-ever infrastructure procurement offering, with an estimated total value of GBP4.29 billion and running through to 2030.
Pagabo is a Motherwell, Scotland-based intermediary, which sets up frameworks linking contractors to public and private-sector customers.
Lot 1 of the framework, covering England and Wales, has three suppliers, including Costain.
Costain will offer services "across all sectors covered by the framework, including rail, road, aviation, water, energy, defence and civil nuclear", it said.
Chief Executive Alex Vaughan commented: "This is another landmark moment for Costain as we begin our relationship with Pagabo and significantly increase the ways public sector organisations can access our expertise."
Costain shares rose 1.8% to 262.00 pence each on Friday morning in London.
