Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

Strip Tinning Holdings PLC, up 67% at 37.5p, 12-month range 17.00p-43.00p. The supplier of connection systems to the automotive sector has been awarded a GBP3 million grant in the UK. "The successful award of this grant combined with the company's own funding provides the resources needed to meet expected demand from existing contracts in 2027 and beyond together with a platform for further growth. For the grant funding to be committed, the project start up requirements need to have been met and the grant offer letter received," Strip Tinning says.
----------
Thruvision Group PLC, up 40% at 0.875p, 12-month range 0.50p-2.00p. The provider of walk-through people-screening technology wins a deal to deploy its offering "across multiple major airports in South-East Asia". "The deployment, focused predominantly on airport worker screening and insider-threat mitigation, is expected to generate more than GBP3 million of revenue for Thruvision," it says.
----------
Jubilee Metals Group PLC, up 12% at 2.80p, 12-month range 2.20p-5.20p. Jubilee gets two binding offers for the acquisition of its Large Waste project. The offers are a "substantial premium to the original acquisition price". It adds: "The consideration together with remaining cash proceeds from the sale of the South African operations and the sale of non-core waste assets, offer substantial cash inflows nearing USD100 million, strengthening the company's balance sheet and offering accelerated investment into the continued expansion of the Zambian operations." The metal processing company in April 2025 secured the exclusive rights to the waste project USD18 million.
----------
Pharos Energy PLC, down 6.6% at 31.28p, 12-month range 18.50p-34.30p. Serica Energy decides against lifting its takeover offer for the firm, which has assets in Vietnam and Egypt. Offshore oil and gas producer in UK continental shelf Serica said it "retains a highly disciplined approach to M&A". Its GBP145.7 million stands below a Ratio Petroleum bid that values Pharos Energy at GBP146.4 million. Pharos has a GBP130.2 million market capitalisation.
----------
Marshalls PLC, down 3.3% at 175.50p, 12-month range 124.00p-209.50p. Marshalls reports a rise in interim profit and maintains its annual outlook, with the building products manufacturer seeing "no material market recovery" in the offing in the second half. Pretax profit in the first half of 2026 climbs 68% to GBP19.7 million from GBP11.7 million, with revenue down 0.5% to GBP317.8 million from GBP319.5 million, amid "subdued end markets". Chief Executive Officer Simon Bourne says: "This reflects our reinvigorated focus on sharper execution, continued financial discipline and the benefits of actions taken through FY25 to create a leaner and more focused operating platform." Net operating costs are 3.0% lower at GBP292.3 million from GBP301.4 million.
