Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

Invinity Energy Systems PLC, up 53% at 34.5p, 12-month range 12.85p-37.00p. The utility-grade energy storage firm has been picked to design a vanadium flow battery for deployment at the Technology Centre Laufenburg. The site is in the Swiss municipality of Laufenburg,

----------

Nexteq PLC, down 21% at 51.5p, 12-month range 50.00p-90.80p. The technology solutions provider says it continues to grapple with a "challenging trading environment". The Quixant division, which serves the land-based gaming market, has seen trading conditions "impacted indirectly by US tariffs". "These factors have affected demand resulting in the continued softening of order coverage, meaning the board now believes that revenue for 2026 will fall below its previous expectations. The board believes these factors will be temporary albeit it is difficult to accurately predict when they will abate given current macro-economic uncertainty," Nexteq says. Nexteq now expects revenue to be 15% below prior market expectations, which it put at USD*5.0 million.

----------

Sabre Insurance Group PLC, up 8.5% at 168.1p, 12-month range 123.00p-170.20p. The motor insurance underwriter says gross written premiums in the first four months of 2026 rose 15% to GBP76.3 million from GBP66.1 million. "2026 has got off to a strong start for Sabre, with gross written premium materially ahead of last year despite conditions remaining competitive in our target markets," Chief Executive Officer Geoff Carter says. "We still see claims cost inflation at mid-single digits but are mindful of the potential impact of geopolitical developments. We continue to cover identifiable drivers of claims inflation and will not hesitate to increase prices if required to address any additional emerging inflation risks." It backs its annual view, still expecting annual growth in gross written premiums. It adds: "The rate of growth will be influenced by how quickly the wider market moves to cover claims inflation."

----------

FDM Group Holdings PLC, up 4.8% at 110.00p, 12-month range 94.50p-238.22p. The professional services provider says trading for the first four months of the year has been in line with board expectations. "Our client-focussed AI initiatives are showing promise and generating positive levels of client engagement, and we are well positioned to deliver AI-centric solutions for our clients now and as they evolve their AI adoption strategies," FDM adds. "While the board remains mindful of current macroeconomic and political uncertainties, encouraging indicators continue to show in a number of our operating regions and FDM is well placed to deliver improved performance as soon as market conditions permit."
