The medical research company, focused on analysing trial data using neuroscience imaging and biomarkers, expects revenue for the year ended September 30 of GBP8.3 million, rising 21% from GBP6.5 million and beating market expectations. It notes "an acceleration in analysis orders during the final quarter of the year", enabling revenue to beat Ixico's prior guide of GBP8.0 million.

----------

James Cropper, up 9.3% at 765.00p, 12-month range 250.00p-775.00p. James Cropper expects annual earnings ahead of market expectations, as the paper and packaging firm says its first half topped expectations. In a trading statement, it reports a "strong performance" during the half-year ended September 26. Trading was "ahead of the board's expectations, principally reflecting a much stronger than anticipated performance by the group's Paper & Packaging business from a combination of revenue growth and cost management". It now expects annual adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to be around 10% to 20% ahead of current market expectations of GBP9.4 million. That gives a range between GBP10.3 million and GBP11.3 million, James Cropper adds, ahead of the GBP8.9 million achieved in financial 2026. Shares hit this 12-month high on Tuesday.

----------

Shearwater Group PLC, up 5.1% at 73.02p, 12-month range 35.50p-75.00p. The cybersecurity firm has won a new GBP1.7 million contract with an existing central government customer. Shearwater is to provide "advanced threat intelligence capabilities over a two-year period".

----------

Trifast PLC, down 5.1% at 81.62p, 12-month range 56.20p-95.00p. The maker of industrial fastenings says trading is in line with market expectations. Revenue in the six months to September 30 was down 4.2% on-year, Trifast says. It notes a "return to growth in the UK and increased stability in Europe" but softer automotive industry demand in North America and Asia. "Our commitment to delivering high-quality revenue growth, continued margin improvement and cash generation is unchanged, notwithstanding the continued macroeconomic challenges, supported by our strongest ever commercial pipeline, and increasing customer demand for supply chain and engineered solutions in our key sectors," it adds.
