FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:
----------
Genuit Group, down 15% at 244.90p, 12-month range 239.32p-391.50p. Genuit says it has shown "resilience" in a tough backdrop but warns that market conditions have worsened and profit is to fall short of consensus. The provider of water, climate and ventilation systems says revenue in the nine months ended September 30 rose 3.5% on-year to GBP464.5 million, but declined 4.3% on a like-for-like basis. "Challenging market conditions have persisted since our interim results in August, and have worsened in some specific markets most notably our Heating businesses due to the unseasonably warm weather and anticipated interest rate rises," Genuit says. It now expects full year underlying operating profit of around GBP84 million, below the company compiled consensus range of GBP91 million to GBP96 million. Underlying operating profit in 2025 amounted to GBP94.4 million.
----------
Bunzl, down 2.8% at 2,732.00p, 12-month range 1,981.00p-2,898.00p. Bunzl says it continues to expect 2026 to be a "foundation for future profit growth" as it reiterates full-year guidance after a "good performance" in the third quarter. The London-based distribution and outsourcing company says revenue in the quarter grew by 3.1% at constant exchange rates and broadly the same at actual exchange rates. Underlying revenue increased by 3.7%, supported by both inflation, including year-on-year product cost increases, and volume growth, which continues to be driven by a strong performance in the North America distribution business. Growth was slower than 4.4% posted in the second quarter of 2026, however.
----------
Rightmove PLC, down 1.8% at 532.00p, 12-month range 391.40p-693.80p. Panmure Liberum cuts the property portal to 'hold' from 'buy'. Although it still backs Rightmove as a "uniquely non-cyclical" firm that warrants a more premium valuation compared to peers, "it is not gravity-defying and the rest of the sector is cheap too".
----------
Anglo American PLC, down 1.1% at 3,841.00p, 12-month range 2,639.00p-4,348.00p. Shares in the miner initially rose following a third-quarter output update, but they encountered selling pressure as Monday morning progressed, amid wider market nerves. Anglo says copper production fell 5% on-year to 175,000 tonnes in the third quarter from 184,000, while in premium iron ore, it fell 4% to 13.8 million tonnes from 14.3 million. The copper output decline was partly down to extreme weather in Chile. "Operational performance was resilient across the business, continuing our momentum from the first half of the year despite extreme winter weather in Chile. We are on track to meet our 2026 guidance, supported by the planned improvement in copper ore grades in the fourth quarter," Chief Executive Officer Duncan Wanblad says. One of the factors keeping a lid on investor enthusiasm on Tuesday is artificial intelligence worry. AJ Bell analyst Russ Mould comments: "Strikingly, stock in South Korean data centre builder Elice lost a third of its value on its first day of trading with concerns about the sustainability of AI spend ramping up." Concerns over AI spend could weigh miners, as some commodities such as copper are used in power infrastructure and electrical equipment.
