Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

Galileo Resources PLC, up 20% at 0.75 pence, 12-month range 0.51p-1.1p. The copper, gold and lithium mine developer says initial surface work has discovered a porphyry mineralised system within its Ferber licence. Says studies of recently collected Ferber rock grab samples indicate that the Ferber area is a copper porphyry system with associated skarn, and that there is "scope for the potential discovery of a substantial mineralised body." "External consultants concluded that the porphyry must be of substantial scale to produce the mineral assemblages observed within the skarn a significant distance from the main porphyry body," Galileo points out. Says this "strongly positive outcome...provides substantial encouragement for the drilling programme currently being planned at Ferber."

----------

Tungsten West PLC, up 17% at 50.5 pence, 12-month range 8p-50.5p. The mining company, which is focused on restarting production at the Hemerdon tungsten and tin project in Devon, England, says it has agreed terms with the UK government's National Wealth Fund on an up to GBP71 million proposed investment, comprising an equity investment of GBP36.0 million via the NWF subscribing for 100 million new ordinary shares at 36p and therefore holding an approximately 7.42% stake, and an up to GBP25 million debt financing facility with a non-committed GBP10 million accordion facility. The government will also have a limited period to conclude an offtake agreement for up to 50% of the tungsten production from Hemerdon according to the 2025 feasibility study. Tungsten West says this investment completes the funding package necessary for Hemerdon's restart to full production.

----------

Shaires Holdings Ltd, down 10% at 2,200 US cents, 12-month range 425-2,500 cents. The investment firm focused on private mid- and late-stage global technology and AI companies says gross fundraise proceeds total USD14.3 million, including USD10.9 million "from the second institutional fundraise" and USD3.4 million from the retail offer. Gives issue price as USD20.00 per share. Stock resumes trading following closure of the capital access window. Shaires notes that over 670 new shareholders have come on board via the retail offer. Says a pipeline "in excess of USD500 million of further cash and in-kind investment opportunities" is "under active negotiation". Also notes "continued engagement with a number of institutional investors regarding participation in the company's next phase of growth." Says approximately USD78.0 million of capital and contributed assets has been raised in total, and binding agreements give Shaires the right to acquire up to an additional USD30 million of contributed assets, which would bring the total raise and contributed shares to USD108.0 million, exceeding its initial objective of USD100 million.
