17th Oct 2025 10:52

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced this week and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Sound Energy PLC - onshore gas explorer and producer in Morocco - Hires Majid Shafiq to be chief executive officer, allowing Executive Chair Graham Lyon to transition to non-executive chair over the next six months. Shafiq was CEO of AIM-listed i3 Energy PLC until its sale at the end of 2024. He began his 35-year oil career at Mobil North Sea Ltd.

----------

Pennpetro Energy PLC - Texas-focused oil and gas - Hires Mavriky Kalugin to be chief operations officer and executive director, leading the technical and operational aspects of the company, starting on Thursday. Pennpetro says Kalugin's appointment follows upon its recently announced plan to add a third executive director to the board. Kalugin has more than 28 years of oil and gas experience, Pennpetro says, most recently as executive director & COO of Naftogaz Group in Ukraine. On Wednesday, Pennpetro said it signed heads of terms to acquire the Limnytskyi oil and gas exploration licence in western Ukraine.

----------

Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC - operates gas processing facilities and export hub in north-west Kazakhstan - Promotes Nikolay Ivin, who joined the board in July, to chair, effective from Thursday. Ivin replaces Stephen Whyte, who stepped down as chair and left the board, also on Thursday. Whyte had been chair since early 2023. Ivin is co-founder and managing partner of Ziff-Ivin Associates Ltd, a financial advisory and management consultancy. He has financial advisory and restructuring experience across central and eastern Europe, including in Kazakhstan, Nostrum notes.

----------

Zinc Media Group PLC - Edinburgh, Scotland-based television and audio production - Hires Laura McGaughey to be chief financial officer and executive director, starting November 3. She joins from Anton Film & Television, where she was chief financial & operating officer. At Zinc Media, McGaughey replaces Will Sawyer, who was hired away by insolvency litigation financing firm Manolete Partners PLC after seven years in post.

----------

Coinsilium Group Ltd - London-based digital asset investor - Executive Chair Malcolm Palle moves to non-executive chair, as CFO Ben Proffitt joins the board as an executive director. Eddy Travia remains CEO and the other executive director. Federica Velardo steps down as non-executive director but remains general legal counsel. Wayne Almeida remains non-executive director, completing the board of four. Coinsilium says the changes reflect the company's "maturity", "strengthened financial position", and "ongoing strategic developments", as it pursues its bitcoin treasury policy, accumulating 182 bitcoin so far via its Forza (Gibraltar) Ltd subsidiary.
