Literacy Capital PLC - London-headquartered trust focused on long-term investments in private UK businesses - Net asset value climbs 2.0% to 510.4 pence per share from 500.4p at December 31, and is 9.2% higher than 467.3p a year prior. NAV total return is 2.0%, improved from 1.6% in the fourth quarter of 2023 but down from a return of 11% in the first quarter of 2023. The company noted that its largest holding RCI, developed positively "and was the strongest contributor again in Q1." Richard Pindar, chief executive officer of Literacy's investment manager, says: "Cash inflows were again substantial, as the portfolio was rebalanced with capital recycled from more mature assets into new investment opportunities or used to pay down the fund's drawings under its revolving credit facility. We expect cash inflows to remain strong in the remainder of 2024, whilst we are also seeing many attractive opportunities to redeploy capital into newer investments." Read More

Palace Capital PLC - London-based commercial real estate investment trust - Exchanges contract to sell wholly-owned subsidiary Palace Capital (Manchester) Ltd to The James (M1 Living) Ltd. The subsidiary's sole asset is Boulton House Manchester, an office building in the city centre. The deal is worth GBP8.8 million in cash and reflects a net initial yield of 8.7%. The disposal is at the March 31 book value and 2.8% below the September 30 book value of GBP9.0 million. The transaction will complete in 12 weeks time, Palace Capital says. Palace Capital Executive Chair Steven Owen comments: "The disposal of Boulton House demonstrates continuing progress in our disposal strategy and on completion will provide additional cash for returning to shareholders in due course." Metals Exploration PLC - Philippines-focused gold producer - Says in the first quarter of 2024, gold revenue grows 28% to USD44.4 million from USD34.7 million in the final three months of 2023. Gold sales in the three months to March 31 are 21,465 ounces sold at an average realised gold price of USD2,069 per ounce. In the the quarter ended December 31, gold sales were 17,514 oz at an average price of USD1,980 per ounce. Affirms that tno lost time injuries occurred during the period, with over 22 million hours worked without a reportable injury. Adds that mining production of ore in the first quarter and waste was above forecast at 3.31 million tonnes, with a total of 678,000 tonnes of ore mined. Chief Executive Officer Darren Bowden says: "The first quarter of the year has continued to see a strong performance at Runruno.
