Wizz Air Holdings PLC - Budapest-based budget airline - Carries 4.8 million passengers in July, up 61% from 3.0 million a year before and up 12% from 4.3 million in June. Capacity increased by a less steep 41% from a year before to 5.3 million from 3.8 million, so load factor improved to 89.7% from 78.5%. Load factor in June had been 86.1%. On a rolling 12-month basis, Wizz Air carried 45.9 million passengers, more than doubled from a year before, with an 83.0% load factor, improved from 67.6%. The airline noted it recently announced new routes from Abu Dhabi, meaning its just-over-a-year-old operation in the capital of the United Arab Emirates will fly to 34 destinations. Read More
