SysGroup PLC - Liverpool, England-based IT services, cybersecurity and cloud hosting provider - Acquires Crossword Consulting Ltd, the consulting arm of Crossword Cybersecurity PLC, for GBP311,000, as well as a potential post-conditional payment of GBP127,000. Crossword Consulting delivered revenue of around GBP2.4 million for its financial year that ended September 30, with more than 75% of its revenue recurring. He will remain as a consultant for six months "to ensure the orderly and smooth transition of his responsibilities." Also on June 26, Heejae Chae will join as executive chair and "take day-to-day responsibility" for running SysGroup. Chae was previously CEO of Scapa Group PLC and Volex PLC, and is chair of the remuneration committee at IP Group PLC. Following Chae's appointment, current Non-Executive Chair Michael Edelson will step down to become a non-executive director. The newly acquired company trades as Orchard Computers and generated revenue of GBP2.1 million in 2021 alongside pretax profit of GBP300,000. The acquisition is funded from the company's existing cash balance. SysGroup says Orchard will enhance its presence in the South West of England and complement its operations in South Wales. SysGroup PLC - Liverpool-based IT services and cloud-hosting provider - Buys Truststream Security Solutions Ltd, a managed cyber security services provider based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The acquisition worth GBP4.8 million will be funded from Sysgroup's existing cash balance and a new revolving credit facility of GBP8.0 million, the Liverpool-based firm says.
