Seplat Energy PLC - Lagos-based oil and gas company focused on Nigeria - Responds to newspaper report pertaining to shallow water assets in Nigeria, saying that its sale and purchase agreement with US oil major Exxon Mobil Corp has not been terminated. This follows newspaper and social media reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd had exercised a right of pre-emption under the NNPC/Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited joint operating agreement.
