Gemfields Group Ltd - London-based miner and marketer of coloured gemstones - Confirms that its "G-factor for natural resources" for its 75%-held Zambia-based Kagem Mining Ltd stands at 17% for 10 year from 2016 to 2025, down from 20% for the 2015-2024 period. Over this period, G-factor for 75%-held Montepuez Ruby Mining Ltda in Mozambique is at 26%, up slightly from 25%, however. The "G-factor for natural resources" reveals the percentage of natural resource revenue paid to the government of the host country in the form of mineral royalties, corporation tax and, where the relevant government is a shareholder, dividends. Gemfields Group Ltd - London-based miner and marketer of coloured gemstones - Generates revenue of USD53 million at an auction of rough rubies held this month. This is the first auction to include material from Montepuez Ruby Mining Ltda's second processing plant. Gemfields owns 75% Montepuez Ruby Mining in Mozambique. The last ruby sale was held in June 2025, when Gemfields earned USD31.7 million in revenue, down from USD68.7 million in June 2024. In December 2024, revenue was USD46.2 million. Says 45 lots were sold of the 46 lots offered for sale, at an average USD7.46 per carat. Gemfields has conducted only two emerald auctions this year. Says USD45 million is payable to Gemfields on completion of the sale, expected on August 28. The remaining USD5 million is payable to Gemfields by way of quarterly royalty payments at a rate of 8% of Faberge's revenue.
