Gemfields Group Ltd - London-based miner and marketer of coloured gemstones - Says auction revenue drops 34% to USD129 million in 2025 from USD196 million in 2024, and drops 47% from USD242 million in 2023. Notes that the second processing plant at Montepuez Ruby Mining Ltda in Mozambique is now in its final commissioning stage, with the project being delivered materially on budget. Expects commissioning to be completed "imminently". Says it looks forward to introducing the first rubies produced by this plant to the market at the February 2026 mixed-quality ruby auction. Gemfields Group Ltd - London-based miner and marketer of coloured gemstones - Generates revenue of USD25.4 million at an emerald auction held between November 17 and December 4, 2025, up 55% from USD16.4 million at a sale from April 11 to April 29. Says 45 lots were sold of the 46 lots offered for sale, at an average USD7.46 per carat. Gemfields has conducted only two emerald auctions this year. Emeralds were extracted from Zambian-based Kagem Mining Ltd, which is 75% owned by Gemfields. Read More

The auction was held in Bangkok on Monday to Friday last week. Gemfields says 62% of the 297,449 carats of rubies on offer were sold at an average price of USD59.43 per carat. MRM is 70% owned by Gemfields and 30% by Mozambican partner Mwiriti Ltda. Read More

But the latest auction is down 8.5% from USD35.0 million at auction held in May 2024. Average realised price of USD160.78 per carat in September, up from USD113.96 in November 2024.
