Aurrigo International PLC - Coventry, England-based provider of "smart airside solutions" - Signs contract with Singapore Changi Airport Group worth SGD4.2 million, about GBP2.5 million, for a fleet of automated baggage handling vehicles. Aurrigo says the contract is for a test of its Auto-DollyTug vehicles for underwing operations at Changi during 2024 and 2025. The phase 2b trial follows a successful phase 2a test in which the Auto-DollyTug showed it was able to stand up to rain, heat and humidity of the equatorial city to provide automated transfer of baggage containers, Aurrigo says. Aurrigo International PLC - Autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle technology provider - Signs formal partnership agreement with Aviation Solutions BV to support the roll-out of Aurrigo's autonomous solutions to the global aviation sector. Aviation Solutions is a department within Royal Schiphol Group, which owns and operates Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Aurrigo says: "The multi-year partnership with AS provides an opportunity to demonstrate the Auto-DollyTug baggage vehicle and Auto-Sim aviation operations simulation software at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in a bid to engage with other airports and stakeholders." Aurrigo International PLC - Autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle technology provider - Signs agreement with Digital Testbed Air Cargo Project Consortium to deploy its Auto-DollyTug for trials at Munich International Airport. The Auto-DollyTug is a zero emission, all-electric autonomous vehicle designed to carry airside baggage. The Auto-DollyTug is scheduled to be deployed at the Munich airport in the second quarter of 2024, with results expected in the third quarter. DTAC is a research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Digital & Transport, which explores the basics for setting up and operating digital applications and solutions in air cargo. The project is also being carried out under the academic leadership of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow & Logistics alongside the Frankfurt University of Applied Science. In November, Aurrigo signed a similar agreement with DTAC for the deployment of Auto-DollyTug at Stuttgart airport. Read More
