Apax Global Alpha Ltd - provides access to private equity funds advised by Apax Partners LLP - Takes part in acquisition of controlling stake in Palex Medical SA, a Barcelona-based medical technology supplier. Apax XI Fund, in which Apax Global Alpha is a limited partner, agrees to buy a co-controlling stake in Palex, alongside Fremman Capital, part of Fremman Ltd. For its part, Apax Global Alpha will invest about EUR15 million on a look-through basis. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Apax Global Alpha Ltd - Guernsey-based closed-ended investment company - Net asset value amounts to EUR2.63 per share, or GBP2.31 on March 31, down 0.8% from NAV per share of EUR2.65, or GBP2.34 on December 31. Total NAV return for the first quarter is 1.9%, or 2.8% at constant currency. Says the largest driver of NAV return is earnings growth from the private equity portfolio companies, with earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation growth of 16% in the last 12 months. Apax Global Alpha Ltd - Guernsey-based closed-ended investment company - Says portfolio company Duck Creek Technologies has entered an agreement to be acquired by Vista Equity Partners for USD19.00 per share in cash, or around USD2.6 billion. Apax says the transaction values its current investment in Duck Creek at EUR32.3 million, an uplift of about 46% to last unaffected valuations. The transaction also represents a EUR10.3 million uplift in adjusted net asset value of Apax at September 30. The acquisition is still subject to approval by Duck creek's stockholders, the company says. Apax acquired a majority stake in Duck Creek in 2016. On Wednesday, Apax Global said Duck Creek agreed to be bought by Vista for around USD2.6 billion. Read More
