Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:
----------
Solvonis Therapeutics PLC, up 14% at 0.22 pence, 12-month range 0.18p-0.39p. Reports positive pharmacokinetic data from the preclinical bridging study for its SVN-002 development programme. SVN-002 is its proprietary esketamine oral thin-film in development for moderate-to-severe alcohol use disorder. Solvonis says that at the same nominal dose level, combined sublingual-buccal administration of SVN-002 produced rapid systemic exposure to parent esketamine. Exposure levels for parent esketamine and the key measured metabolites, noresketamine and hydroxynoresketamine, were within the range observed for the intranasal esketamine comparator arm. This provides important translational support for the planned scientific bridge, it says. Company intends to seek further FDA feedback on the scope and scale of the remaining nonclinical toxicology work required for the initial investigational new drug submission.
----------
BATM Advanced Communications Ltd, up 6.8% at 15.28 pence, 12-month range 12.55p-19.75p. Enters a share purchase & loan assignment agreement with Haim Dor for the proposed sale of three of its remaining four non-core activities, which consist of seven corporate entities, including Sunstring Ltd, for USD13.3 million in cash. Sunstring enters a secondary share purchase agreement, also with Dor, to sell 96.8 million BATM shares at 18.15p each for GBP17.6 million or around USD23.3 million in cash. Cash consideration totals approximately USD36.6 million. The businesses and shares will be sold to either Dor or an entity he controls.
----------
Proteome Sciences PLC, up 31% at 1.98 pence, 12-month range 1.28p-3.6p. Secures a "further significant clinical contract connected to its target engagement/chemoproteomics platform." Expects the contract to be a precursor to a new clinical trial programme, which it plans to start later this year.
----------
eEnergy Group PLC, down 36% at 3.3 pence, 12-month range 3.28p-6.45p. Cuts full-year revenue outlook to around GBP32.0 million from GBP38.0 million, and the adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation outlook to GBP1.7 million from GBP4.5 million. For financial 2025, eEnergy reported revenue of GBP19.0 million and adjusted Ebitda of GBP2.2 million. Also forecasts first-half revenue of around GBP22.0 million, up on-year from GBP10.1 million, and adjusted Ebitda of around GBP1.2 million, up from around GBP500,000. Chair Andrew Lawley notes that Interim Chief Executive John Cahan has "commenced a restructuring and cost saving exercise to simplify the reporting structure and right size the cost base," and says that following his appointment, "we have conducted a detailed review of the pipeline of potential sales opportunities. Consequently, the board now believes that investment grade opportunities equivalent to GBP66m more fairly reflect the level of live opportunities that the business could potentially convert into revenue in the short to medium term."
----------
Transense Technologies PLC, down 15% at 48 pence, 12-month range 48p-160p. Announces a "modest reduction" to its forecasts for the year ending June 30. Now expects revenue of at least GBP4.6 million, adjusted Ebitda of at least GBP500,000, and "approximately break-even" adjusted pretax profit. Cites lower-than-expected sales from global tyre manufacturers within Translogik, saying it expects demand to recover in financial 2027. Also expects Bridgestone iTrack royalty income of at least GBP2.0 million, and for financial 2027 to show "further modest growth". Says it remains confident in its medium-term growth opportunities across both business segments.
