Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

Ashtead Technology Holdings PLC, down 16% at 361.25 pence, 12-month range 297.00p-536.00p. Warns full-year revenue and earnings will fall below expectations as the Middle East conflict delays projects. Expects 2026 revenue around 5% below market consensus of GBP214.2 million and adjusted Ebita around 15% below consensus of GBP59.2 million. Says several Middle East projects scheduled for the second half have been postponed until 2027, while wider economic uncertainty and vessel scheduling changes are causing further delays in Europe and the Americas. The deferral of higher-margin rental revenue is also expected to weigh on margins, although Ashtead Technology says its balance sheet remains strong and expects year-end leverage of around 1.3 times.

----------

Potter & Moore PLC, down 8.3% at 22.00 pence, 12-month range 20.00p-26.00p. Says first-quarter trading remains challenging amid difficult wider sector conditions, with year-to-date revenue below the prior year but broadly in line with internal expectations. Expects first-half revenue and gross profit margin to be lower year-on-year, with margins hit by input cost inflation ahead of anticipated price recovery. Trading remains weighted towards the second half, supported by new retail listings, special-buy and fast-follow activity and sales price recovery, some of which remains under negotiation. Cash rises to GBP4.1 million at July 31 from GBP3.6 million at March 31. A final dividend of 0.55p per share remains subject to shareholder approval at Thursday's annual general meeting.

----------

Comptoir Group PLC, down 8.2% at 5.05 pence, 12-month range 3.90p-7.50p. Reports a 1.9% fall in first-half revenue to GBP15.7 million from GBP16.0 million a year earlier, while pretax loss widens to GBP226,000 from GBP69,000. Calls its performance "resilient" despite cost-of-living pressures and uncertainty stemming from the Middle East conflict. Expects to repay external debt accrued in the second half of 2025 by September and says disciplined capital management leaves it well placed to navigate current pressures and pursue growth beyond 2026. James Fisher will step down as finance director on October 30 and be replaced by current Head of Finance Nathan Portelli.

----------

Talisman Metals PLC, up 17% at 7.00 pence, 12-month range 5.55p-14.00p. Raises GBP501,800 gross from a placing of 7.2 million new shares at 7 pence each. The fresh cash will be used to fund exploration and development work on Talisman's two copper projects in Morocco and for general working capital. "As we progress to the start of drilling later this summer, management chose to top up the company's treasury to give more flexibility on the use of capital for field work," Chief Executive Officer Timothy McCutcheon explains.

----------

Sunrise Resources PLC, up 14% at 0.02 pence, 12-month range 0.01p-0.04p. Reports encouraging phase three drilling results from its Pioche Sepiolite project in Nevada and highlights the "major potential" for the project's sepiolite in drilling fluid applications. Says it is now working to identify a development partner for Pioche to advance the project.
