TRADING UPDATES: RWS expects profit climb; LBG revenue rises

27th Oct 2026 15:34

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

RWS Holdings PLC - Maidenhead, England-based translations and artificial intelligence solutions provider - RWS says organic constant currency revenue growth for the year to September 30 was 3%, with reported revenue expected to have risen 2% to around GBP700 million. RWS expects adjusted pretax profit in line with market expectations and around 9% higher than the prior year's GBP60.4 million. Meanwhile, its buy of Acogroup, the parent of Acolad, has received the necessary regulatory clearance from the French Ministry for the Economy, Finance & Industrial, Energy & Digital Sovereignty. It expects completion within the next two weeks. Chief Executive Officer Ben Faes says: "We enter FY27 in a stronger position. The acquisition of Acolad is expected to complete shortly, adding scale in Europe and a larger enterprise client base for all three segments. Our investment in sales capability is intended to support improved organic growth in FY27, including in Transform technology revenue. AI is reshaping our industry and RWS is leading that change. Our vision is clear: to be the cultural intelligence layer for enterprise AI. I would like to thank the whole RWS team for their commitment, energy and focus during the year."

----------

LBG Media PLC - Manchester, England-based digital entertainment company that owns social media accounts such as LADBible - LBG expects revenue of GBP106.0 million for the year ended September 30, rising 16% at constant currency from GBP92.2 million. It expects to report adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of GBP16.5 million, down 35% from GBP25.2 million. Indirect revenue is hit by "the continued sector-wide decline in Facebook video and Web revenues". "The group is investing in original content and monetising IP across its broad range of platforms, with YouTube a growing focus," LBG adds. Chief Executive Officer Solly Solomou says: "While Direct performed strongly, FY26 was a mixed year. As expected, we saw a market-driven decline in Indirect, whilst growth in Direct revenue and Uncovered reflected our strategic intent. Direct revenue growth remained positive and we believe our focus on original content will continue to drive growth. Our relationships with our top 20 clients have deepened, the US continues to provide exciting growth opportunities, and Uncovered, which we recently acquired, is already trading ahead of the board's expectations. The investments in our platform and our client relationships, taken together, support the board's belief in delivering growth in FY27."

----------

Redcentric PLC - Harrogate, North Yorkshire-based IT managed services provider - For the six months to September 30, it expects to report revenue of GBP63.7 million, down from GBP66.8 million a year prior. This will be in line management expectations, it adds. It also reflects a push towards "attracting and maintaining higher-margin business alongside the impact of customer cancellations and the timing of new business conversion". Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation are to be steady at GBP9.1 million, though at an increased margin of 14.3% compared to 13.6% a year prior. "This is modestly above management expectations, reflecting the focus towards higher-margin business and continued tight expense control driving higher quality of earnings," Redcentric adds. "This performance reinforces the group's market-leading position in UK managed IT services, with management focused on business that will help expand the group's high-quality recurring margin while maintaining disciplined cost management to deliver sustainable value for all stakeholders." It says it is confident of achieving an annual adjusted Ebitda of GBP18.4 million, in line with market expectations.

----------

LPA Group PLC - Saffron Walden, England-based engineering company focused on electronic systems and LED lighting - Hails strong trading in 2026. In a trading statement, it says revenue rises 30% on-year to GBP28.1 million. "Order intake was GBP20.7 million and as a result, the company ended the year with a total order book of GBP25.1 million. Adjusted earnings for FY26 are expected to be in line with our recently increased guidance," LPA adds. Last month, LPA lifted its full-year outlook on the backdrop of "strong trading". It expects adjusted revenue and profit for the financial year ending September 30 to beat market expectations, it said at the time.

----------

Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC - Hertfordshire, England-based biodegradable plastic technology developer - It announces a collaboration with Mexican food packing firm Sirane Central Americana. "The agreement establishes a framework for Symphony and Sirane to market and develop commercial opportunities for each other's respective products, including introducing Symphony's wider range of technologies into markets and customer opportunities accessible to Sirane, alongside the development of Sirane products incorporating Symphony technologies," Symphony Environmental says. "The agreement also provides for customer introductions, cross-selling opportunities, joint marketing and co-branding activities, and the potential manufacture of products for each other under separately agreed commercial terms." The agreement has an initial term of two years "with provision for automatic extension for a further two years unless terminated in accordance with its terms". In addition, Sirane is currently evaluating Symphony's d2w biodegradable technology for use in its products. Symphony adds: "The parties believe that the combination of Sirane's existing market presence, its expanding product applications and the Symphony technologies being supplied or evaluated under the collaboration provides a platform for further commercial growth."

----------

Alumasc Group PLC - Northamptonshire-based supplier of building products for water and energy management - The firm says positive trading momentum has continued in the financial year. Its financial year concludes on June 30. First quarter revenue is up 10% on-year, "reflecting decisive actions to execute the group's commercial", Alumasc says in a trading statement. "The period included the first call-offs from the GBP2 million project at Changi Airport, Singapore, along with further sales to Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong; excluding these, Group revenues were still 5% ahead of Q1 FY26, despite subdued demand conditions, particularly in UK residential construction markets," the firm says. Alumasc says first quarter order intake was strong.

----------

Coppa Collective PLC - London-based operator of restaurant, clubhouse and hotel sites, formerly Various Eateries PLC - Coopa sees its adjusted Ebitda for the year ended September 27 doubling to a "record" GBP2.8 million, in line with market expectations. Coppa expects to report revenue growth of 8% to GBP56.4 million. Coppa notes a return to like-for-like sales growth in the fourth quarter. "FY26 has been a year of significant operational and strategic progress, with the group delivering a substantial improvement in profitability whilst continuing to strengthen and develop its estate. The improvement in underlying earnings has been driven by a sustained focus on operational performance, labour productivity, purchasing and cost management. These initiatives have strengthened the profitability of the existing business and established a more efficient operating model to support future growth," the firm says. "Following strong first-half growth and a more challenging third quarter due to specific prior-year factors, trading strengthened in the final quarter." Coppa says it has "carried its final-quarter trading momentum" into the new year. "Management remains focused on maximising the performance of the existing estate, progressing the integration of Linwood and selectively pursuing expansion opportunities that offer a clear strategic fit and attractive long-term returns," it adds.

----------

Kendrick Resources PLC - Scandinavia-focused mineral exploration and development company - It hails "impressive" results for reverse circulation drilling of two boreholes at the Teufelskuppe asset in Namibia. "All holes drilled in the batch returned light rare earth oxides intercepts over significant mineralised widths," Kendrick says. Chair Colin Bird reports that even lower grade mineralisation is positioned in the "upper quartile in terms of REE deposits worldwide".

----------

Empire Metals Limited - Australia-focused mining, natural resources exploration and development company - Reports planned beginning of pilot-scale metallurgical testwork on samples collected from the Pitfield titanium project in Western Australia. "Pilot-scale testwork will commence in November 2026 at existing metallurgical laboratories in Perth," Empire says. The first stage of work is to test "the mineral separation, titanium extraction and refining circuits to confirm process design parameters for Pitfield's weathered ore". The process will also look to produce raw titanium dioxide of high-purity, "for final product development and marketing".

----------

Crism Therapeutics Corp - British Virgin Islands-based pharmaceutical company - Non-Executive Chair Charles Spicer tells the firm's annual general meeting that Crism has made "significant progress in 2026". The firm is confident its ChemoSeed offering has the "potential to deliver established chemotherapy directly to solid tumours". "This year's clinical, regulatory and scientific progress reflects the strength of the technology and the team behind it. Our focus is on treating glioblastoma patients and demonstrating the clinical benefit that we believe irinotecan-ChemoSeed can deliver for those with this devastating disease," Crism says.
