(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of earnings and trading updates by London-listed companies, issued on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
Rome Resources PLC - mineral explorer with tin project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - Announces the start of a small-scale tin mining programme at its Kalayi project in the DRC. Programme seeks to fulfil a key regulatory requirement to support the conversion of PEPM 13274 into a full mining licence, Rome Resources says. Expects successful conversion to facilitate the proposed acquisition of the remaining 27.5% interest in Kalayi Tin Sarl, which would increase its stake in the project to approximately 79%. Says early indications are encouraging, with reports of portable XRF readings of up to 17% tin within the exposed mineralised zone. Expects the programme to "generate valuable geological, metallurgical and processing data, supporting the further mineral resource estimates" and improving its understanding of Kalayi's vein system. Says it continues to attract interest from potential strategic and development partners, and expects the increased ownership and the licence advancement to further strengthen its negotiating position.

Fusion Antibodies PLC - Belfast-based contract researcher providing discovery, design and optimisation services for therapeutic antibodies - Updates on the progress of the InnovateUK Launchpad grant it was awarded to develop a humanised antibody targeting and activating the DR5 protein on cancer cells. Says the DR5 antibody has been successfully humanised using its proprietary CDRx humanisation platform, and that a number of more complex structural variants have been developed and assessed. Says all variants are producing positive results in tumour cell death assays, and that the gene encoding the lead humanised antibody has been successfully inserted and developed into a stable cell line suitable for large-scale manufacture. Notes that the process involved "new state-of-the-art microfluidic technology" which is available for Fusion's use in client projects. Says this technology reduced the process timeline by approximately 50% to around four months, and intends to use the data as a case study in its marketing. Says UK Research & Innovation, the grant provider, has agreed to extend the project to December 31 from October 31. The remaining months will include further pre-clinical evaluation in relevant cancer models, and Fusion expects positive results to support a patent application. Additionally, they "could lead to the creation of a licensable therapeutic asset".

Quantum Helium Ltd - Sydney-based miner targeting helium, hydrogen and hydrocarbons in the US and Australia - Says the ongoing extended production test at the Sagebrush-1 well in Colorado has been successful in confirming helium-bearing gas, reservoir connectivity and commercial oil production from the Leadville Formation. Says it has also generated significant new data to support future development and resource evaluation. Laboratory analysis of gas samples confirms helium concentrations of 2.5%, above typical industry concentrations of approximately 0.3% to 1.0%, and acid fracture stimulation has established connectivity with natural fracture systems. Quantum also says high injectivity confirms the presence of a significant natural fracture system, providing important information for appraisal and development planning. Additionally, it says the commercial oil production identified from Leadville is an unexpected outcome that opens a new hydrocarbon play in the area, with potential rates of up to 40 barrels per day gross to working interest. Expects to inform flow rate potential from Leadville following ongoing clean-up operations to remove injected fluid.

Intercede Group PLC - Leicestershire, England-based cybersecurity software company - Agrees to extend its partnership with Swissbit, starting active development work on an end-to-end FIDO2 Passkey which could allow the use of post-quantum cryptography. Says this combines Swissbit's hardware supporting FIDO2 Passkeys with Intercede's MyID products to offer customers "a single path from device issuance to phishing-resistant authentication that will stand up to quantum-era attacks." Notes the threat of attacks where data could be captured and stored "until a quantum computer can break the cryptography protecting it." Says authentication credentials are a primary target for such "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks. Notes that Intercede products already support Swissbit's PKI, PIV and FIDO2 devices, including the iShield Key 2 series. Says clients will be able to start with PKI, PIV and FIDO2 devices already in their environment, before moving to post-quantum FIDO2 as the standards and their own requirements mature.

SThree PLC - London-based science, technology, engineering and mathematics-focused staffing firm - Extends Chair James Bilefield's tenure for a seven-month period, ending April next year. Says this allows Bilefield, who is chair of the nomination committee, to complete the search for a permanent chief financial officer, as well as to stay until the conclusion of SThree's annual general meeting in April. Bilefield joined the board in 2017 and became chair in 2018, with his nine-year term originally due to conclude in September. "I am delighted that James has agreed to this short extension of tenure," says Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Imogen Joss. "He has been a strong independent director throughout his time at SThree and a valued source of support to the executive team. We are very grateful for his continued contribution and believe this extension is in the best interests of the company."
