Reabold Resources PLC - London-based investor in the oil and gas sector - Believes circular from the recently appointed Union Jack Oil PLC board contains a number of misleading, selective and highly speculative statements regarding Reabold, the offer and the West Newton project. In July, Reabold agreed a GBP6.1 million takeover of Union Jack Oil which subsequently removed three members of its board and then called the bid "opportunistic". Union Jack now "unanimously and unequivocally" rejects the offer. On Monday, Reabold says it remains strongly of the view that the offer represents the most credible route to value creation for Union Jack shareholders. It says the bid terms are final and will not be increased. It says Union Jack's rejection "appears to be based principally on short term share price movements, highly subjective views regarding West Newton and a speculative belief that future funding can be raised on attractive terms. Reabold believes that shareholders should assess the transaction on strategic merit, asset quality, funding capability and long-term value creation."

It will be subject to shareholder approval at a general meeting due to insufficient share authorities. Tertiary Minerals is to utilise the capital access window in connection with the fundraise. This provides AIM companies with a voluntary mechanism to implement a temporary pause in trading in its securities and the company has elected to utilise this facility to provide pricing stability during the fundraise.

Says the planned fundraise will supplement existing cash reserves in order to continue the development of the Barroso lithium project The proposed increase to cash reserves will allow Savannah to advance the project to final investment decision, secure critical long lead Items, deliver key milestones ahead of construction, maintain the project's timeline and provide appropriate contingency and schedule buffers to mitigate execution risk.

Monro says the work is progressing in tandem with resource expansion work, which has yielded "highly positive" initial results. "The programme is targeting extensions to existing deposits and near-mine greenfield targets, with the aim of expanding the current JORC-compliant mineral resource of over one million ounces. This is setting the stage for a low-cost, high-margin, long-life mine at Sanankoro and we continue to engage actively with the Government of Mali and look forward to sharing further progress on permitting in the near future," he adds.
