TRADING UPDATES: Catenai renews contract; Angus sees production uplift

20th Apr 2026 19:11

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Solvonis Therapeutics PLC - London-based biopharmaceutical company, focused on central nervous system disorders - Says a new executive order from US President Donald Trump is a "major and highly encouraging signal for the growing regulatory, commercial and strategic importance" of the sector in which it operates. "The executive order states that it is US policy to accelerate innovative research models and appropriate drug approvals to increase access to psychedelic drugs for serious mental illness, and includes measures relating to review prioritisation, right to try access pathways, federal-state collaboration funding, data sharing and rescheduling review following successful phase three trials," Solvonis says.

----------

Cordel Group PLC - London-based transport corridor analytics platform - Secures a GBP3.0 million contract with Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to deliver point cloud data processing and structure gauging outputs across Britain's rail network. The contract runs to December 2027, with an optional extension to December 2028 worth a further GBP1.34 million. Cordel says it will process LiDAR data into compliant gauging outputs, supporting updates to the National Gauging Database and helping address backlogs while improving safety and operational efficiency. The company adds that recent contract wins support momentum, with revenue for the 10 months to April expected to be more than 10% ahead year-on-year, and full-year results in line with board expectations.

----------

TheraCryf PLC - Cheshire, England-based pharmaceutical firm focused on cancer and brain disorders - Successfully manufactures over 2kg of clinical-grade drug substance for its lead orexin-1 antagonist Ox-1, advancing the programme towards human trials. The company produces 2.57kg of GMP-standard material suitable for phase 1 studies, delivered three weeks ahead of schedule with higher-than-expected yield, confirming the scalability and robustness of its manufacturing process. TheraCryf says the milestone enables a seamless transition from preclinical to clinical development, with material now ready for formulation ahead of first-in-human dosing, subject to regulatory approval. Completion of preclinical work, including toxicology studies, remains on track for the third quarter of 2026.

----------

Firering Strategic Minerals PLC - Zambia and Ivory Coast-focused mining company - Says its Limeco operation in Zambia secures a two-year offtake contract with a major international copper producer, marking a key step in formalising a commercial relationship. The company reports expanding commercial activity, with additional prospective clients across mining, food processing and manufacturing, while Limeco reaches effectively breakeven in March 2026 as production and efficiency improve. Operationally, Kiln 2 runs close to target capacity and outperforms Kiln 1 for the first time, while Kiln 1 is taken offline temporarily for upgrades. Commissioning of Kilns 3 and 4 remains on track for the third and fourth quarters of 2026, supporting a significant increase in output. Firering adds that product mix is shifting towards higher-margin hydrated lime and high-purity calcium carbonate, with the latter expected to begin production in the third quarter. It also progresses dewatering at its open pit to support future mining, as it targets further growth in production and earnings.

----------

Angus Energy PLC - UK-focused onshore oil and gas developer - Reports a production uplift at its Saltfleetby field in the first quarter of 2026, with underlying output rates rising around 30% following completed well workovers. Gas production totals 471 million standard cubic feet alongside 10,180 barrels of condensate, while gas sales rise to 5.24 million therms from 4.98 million in the fourth quarter. The company says the increase is moderated by planned well shut-ins during January and February. Estimated revenue climbs around 28% to GBP5.65 million, supported by higher realised gas prices, improved volumes and hedging. At Brockham, oil production remains broadly stable at 4,114 barrels, with efficiency at 100%, as optimisation work continues and preparations advance to restart the BRX4z well. Angus adds it is progressing documentation for a proposed financial restructuring aimed at strengthening the balance sheet and liquidity, with completion targeted in the coming weeks. Shares remain suspended on AIM pending the outcome.

----------

Catenai PLC - London-based technology and digital services company specialising in data management, security, and compliance - Renews its IT services contract with Charlton Athletic Community Trust for a further 12 months and provides an update on Klarian Ltd. The company says Klarian, which received a GBP450,000 unsecured convertible loan note facility, agrees to extend repayment terms, with GBP699,160 due by May 15, 2026, plus a 3% monthly fee on the outstanding balance until settlement. Catenai notes there is no certainty the repayment will be made in full by the deadline. Klarian reports progress in funding discussions and says its commercial pipeline exceeds GBP5 million. It adds it is in the final stages of agreeing a Statement of Work with a global technology provider in the energy and natural resources sector, and is seeing interest from international upstream energy firms for its Virtual Sensor product. Catenai says it plans to host an investor webinar with Klarian's chief executive once the contract is finalised.

----------

ECR Minerals PLC - Australia-focused gold exploration and development company - Agrees to acquire Paleogold Ltd in a staged, fully funded transaction aimed at securing nearer-term gold production and scalable cashflow. Through the deal, ECR gains exposure to gold assets across Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia, including a 50% interest in Lucky Strike Mining Ventures, which owns the Maddens Flat group of mines in North Queensland. The company commits to spend AUD1.0 million to advance production at Maddens Flat, where output is targeted later this year. ECR also acquires a 20% stake in the Salt Bush project in South Australia, with a further AUD200,000 investment planned to prepare for production, targeted for 2027. The acquisition is structured via shares, convertible loan notes, warrants and cash, with up to 621.0 million new shares issued, including 207.0 million on completion and further tranches linked to revenue milestones. ECR says the transaction brings an established operational team and is expected to transform the company into a multi-asset gold producer with a portfolio spanning four Australian states and multiple near-term production and exploration opportunities.

----------

Stelrad Group PLC - Rotherham, England-based radiator manufacturer - Appoints Martyn Coffey as independent non-executive director & chair designate, effective May 1. Coffey succeeds Bob Ellis as chair following the company's annual general meeting on May 20. Stelrad says Coffey has "broad experience" across the manufacturing, HVAC, building materials and construction sectors. Coffey is currently a NED at Taylor Wimpey PLC and a NED and Chair of the remuneration committee at Luceco PLC. Bob Ellis says: "I have greatly enjoyed my role as chair since 2013 and supporting the company's progress since its flotation in 2021. I am very pleased to welcome Martyn to the board. He brings a strong external perspective, and I have every confidence in his leadership." CEO Trevor Harvey says: "I would like to thank Bob for his leadership during his tenure as chair. He has played a key role in Stelrad's continued development. I look forward to working with Martyn as our new chair. He brings a valuable and complementary perspective from his executive and non-executive leadership roles, his experience in the UK listed company environment and his knowledge of the building products and HVAC industries."
