TRADING UPDATE: Metals Exploration revenue rises in "strong quarter"

27th Oct 2026 22:53

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Metals Exploration PLC - Philippines- and Nicaragua-focused Gold production, development and exploration company - Reports third quarter 2026 gold revenue of USD57.7 million, up from USD47.1 million a quarter ago. Pretax cash flow rises to USD34.5 million from USD25.2 million. Gold sales improve to 13,500 ounces from 10,542 ounces. Chief Executive Darren Bowden calls the period "a strong quarter" with "improved operating performance at the Runruno mine". Adds: "We are also pleased to have identified additional life at Runruno through the processing of historically marginal ore and mineralised waste that is economic at current gold prices; we have extended the mine's productive life through to the end of January 2027 in the first instance, with the programme kept under ongoing review." At La India, says construction continues to progress "well" across structural, mechanical, piping and electrical installation. Negatively, first gold pour is pushed back to the first quarter of 2027 from December 2026, after the theft of a truckload of low-voltage cabling in transit through Costa Rica. A purchase order for replacement cabling has been issued.

----------

Conroy Gold & Natural Resources PLC - Developer of the Irish Discs of Gold project - Announces deep drill hole assay results from the final hole of the phase one drilling programme at its Clontibret gold deposit in Ireland. CGC-25-007 was drilled to directly target the stockwork zone below the historic Tullybuck antimony mine. Says mineralisation is intersected within the stockwork zone, highlighted by 7.0 metres at 0.4 grammes per tonne gold from 369.0 metres and 2.4 metres at 0.6 g/t gold from 361.0 metres, including 0.6 metres at 1.5 g/t gold. Notes that gold here occurs with disseminated arsenopyrite and pyrite. Says below the footwall of the stockwork, gold is intersected at 464.5 metres downhole, at 457 metres vertical depth. "This is the deepest gold mineralisation recorded at Clontibret to date and the company's first indication of gold mineralisation continuing at depth beneath the stockwork," Conroy notes. Chair John Sherman says: "This drill hole intersected the stockwork zone where our geological model predicted it would, and returned the deepest gold yet recorded at Clontibret. It's an encouraging result that supports our geological interpretation. Together with CGC-25-001, it gives us an early look at how the gold system behaves at depth. It's one data point in a system that remains open in all directions, including at depth, and it will help shape how we continue to test the stockwork at depth."
