(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Kin & Carta PLC, up 12% at 240.50 pence, 12-month range 133.28p-359.00p. The digital-transformation consultancy says it saw "continued strong demand" throughout the first half. Net revenue rose in the first half of financial 2022, and Kin & Carta expects further growth in the second half. For six months to January 31, net revenue was GBP85 million, up 62% from GBP52.5 million year before. Kin & Carta says financial 2022 net revenue is set to grow organically by 35% to 40%.

S&U PLC, up 4.1% at 2,830.00p, 12-month range 2,140.00p -2,950.00p. The motor finance and property bridging lender expects 2022 to gradually see a full rebound to normal motor sales conditions. As a result, S&U expects annual pretax profit to exceed current consensus expectations.

MJ Gleeson PLC, up 1.2% at 735.00p, 12-month range 684.00p-910.00p. The housebuilder and land investor reports a strong performance in its interim results. For six months to December 31, generates revenue of GBP173.5 million, up 22% from GBP142.6 million year before and posts pretax profit of GBP24.7 million, up 22% from GBP20.3 million. MJ Gleeson declares 6p interim dividend, up 20% from 5p and says full-year results are set to be ahead of market expectations.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Avon Protection PLC, down 5.1% at 1,115.00p, 12-month range 860.00p-3,660.00p. The stock is trading ex-dividend meaning new buyers no longer qualify for the latest payout. The stock had risen 7.6% on Tuesday after announcing a new US defence contract.
