SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Equiniti Up On Siris Bid Approach Report

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

Equiniti Group, up 38% at 160.00 pence, 12-month range 96.00p-225.80p. Sky News late Monday reported technology focused private equity investor Siris has made a takeover approach for the financial administration outsourcer. Sky said Siris has tabled a 170 pence-per-share bid for Equiniti. Siris's bid is understood to have been made in cash, valuing Equiniti at about GBP600 million.

MJ Gleeson, up 2.5% at 748.00 pence, 12-month range 512.00p-1,005.00p. The housebuilder rose following a positive read-across from FTSE 250-listed peer Bellway. In a trading statement, Bellway said it delivered a positive six-month trading performance amid a "robust" housing market. MJ Gleeson reports first-half results on Thursday.

On the Beach, down 1.3% at 340.00p, 12-month range 112.60p-441.74p. The travel firm fell after holiday operator Tui reported a sharp revenue fall in its first-quarter and warned its monthly cash burn will be in the range of EUR250 million and EUR300 million in the second quarter.
