Gemfields Group Ltd - London-based miner and marketer of coloured gemstones - Says auction revenue rises 72% to USD102.9 million for the six months that ended June 30, from USD60 million a year earlier. Notes that its Montepuez Ruby Mining Ltda in Mozambique continues to experience weak premium-grade ruby recovery. But Zambian-based Kagem Mining Ltd maintains "healthy" premium emerald production, while higher fuel prices, exchange rate pressures and increased mining activity impacted operating costs.
Gemfields plans to release its interim financial results September 25.
