EXECUTIVE CHANGES: accesso hires former Nando's and Merlin exec as COO

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced in the past week and not separately reported by Alliance News:

accesso Technology Group PLC - Berkshire-based provider of software for the leisure, entertainment and cultural sectors - Hires Lee Cowie to be chief operating officer, joining from restaurant chain Nando's, where he was head of technology. Prior to Nando's, Cowie was chief technology officer for amusement park operator Merlin Entertainments.

Kingfisher PLC - London-based home improvement retailer - Lucinda Riches will replace Catherine Bradley as senior independent director the annual general meeting on June 23. Riches joined the Kingfisher board back in January. She also is non-executive chair of investment trust Greencoat UK Wind PLC and of City broker Peel Hunt Ltd. She is a non-executive director of equipment rental firm Ashtead Group PLC. As an executive, Riches was global head of Equity Capital Markets at Swiss bank UBS Group AG.

Record PLC - Windsor, England-based currency and alternative asset manager - Hires Andreas Danzer to be chief investment officer, a newly created role, joining in the summer. Danzer most recently was CIO of the pension fund of Credit Suisse Switzerland, now part of UBS.

Henderson Smaller Cos Investment Trust PLC - invests in smaller UK-listed companies for total return - Co-Fund Manager Neil Hermon will retire from Janus Henderson Investors on September 30, having been the trust's fund manager for 22 years. Co-Fund Manager Indriatti van Hien will continue to manage the portfolio, having worked alongside Hermon for the past nine years. Van Hien also manages the Janus Henderson UK Smaller Companies Fund and Janus Henderson UK Alpha Fund.

ASA International Group PLC - Worthing, West Sussex-based microfinance provider - Confirms Interim Chief Executive Officer Rob Keijsers as permanent CEO from April 1. As a result, Chris Low moves to non-executive chair from executive chair at the same time.

Zytronic PLC - Tyne & Wear, England-based manufacturer of touch sensors - Appoints Chief Financial Officer Claire Smith as acting CEO to oversee the wind-down of the company. Late last month, Zytronic said it was unable to find a buyer for its trading entity, Zytronic Displays Ltd, and therefore will delist from AIM and conduct a wind-down, returning 46 pence to 60p per share to shareholders after selling assets. It had GBP3.9 million in cash as of the end of February. Shares are expected to be suspended from trading on April 1, as Zytronic will be unable to file its financial 2024 accounts on time.

Team PLC - Jersey-based wealth and asset management and related financial services - CFO Matthew Moore will leave the board and company on April 30 "to embark on new endeavours". Team will appoint a new non-board CFO. Team holds its annual general meeting on April 7. At that time, Tim Hall joins the board as a non-executive director, replacing David Turnbull. Hall is chair of Epic Markets LLP. He was an executive at Martin Currie Investment Management Ltd.

Dialight PLC - London-based LED lighting for industrial applications - Neil Johnson moves to executive chair from non-executive. Dialight says the change is due to Johnson's participation in the company's 'value creation' incentive plan. There is no change to his responsibilities, it says.

All Things Considered Group PLC - London-based music services, including talent management, live booking, merchandising, talent services, and events - Hires Ric Salmon to be chief growth officer, a newly created position. Salmon has worked with ATC for 10 years, it says, representing artists such as Laura Marling and Glen Hansard. In the new position, Salmon looks after new industry partnerships and artist acquisition, as well as managing key artist relationships. Earlier this month, ATC said it increased its ownership of Concorde 2 to 80% and bought a 60% interest in Joy, both music venues in Brighton, England. It also bought full ownership of amenities operation JTR Productions Ltd.

Touchstar PLC - Glasgow-based mobile data managed services for industry - Promotes Lynden Jones to replace Mark Hardy as CEO. Jones joins the board immediately, becoming CEO on July 1. Hardy will remain as a director, while Ian Martin will remain chair. Jones currently is managing director of subsidiary Touchstar ATC Ltd and has been with Touchstar for 14 years. Jones's elevation follows a strategic review that produced a four-part plan to accelerate organic growth and return up GBP1 million in surplus cash to shareholders over the coming year via dividends and share buybacks. Touchstart says it still expects revenue and provide growth in 2025. It will release its 2024 results on the week of April 28.

VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd - Guernsey-registered investor in Vietnamese companies - Appoints Khanh Vu as lead portfolio manager, starting immediately. Vu joined VinaCapital in 2010. "Having been part of the team for over 15 years, Khanh has played a pivotal role in VOF's growth, making him the right person to drive its future success," says Huw Evans, fund chair.

Cap-XX Ltd - Sydney-based designer and manufacturer of supercapacitors and energy management systems - Graham Cooley steps up to chair, having been a non-executive director since June last year. Cooley replaces Pat Elliott, who steps down after 12 years in post. Cap-XX says the change reflects its "decision to align the board's leadership more closely with the company's need for engagement with its shareholders". It notes that Cooley is based in the UK and "will look to enhance communication and collaboration with investors and key stakeholders". Cap-XX also announces a global distribution agreement with Premier Farnell, part of electronic components distributor Avnet Inc.

Cloudbreak Discovery PLC - London-based natural resource project generator and royalty business - Peter Huljich joins board as executive chair, starting immediately. Interim CEO Andrew Male will resign after a handover. Huljich is lawyer and investment banker who currently is chair of Sydney-listed Zinc of Ireland Ltd.
