eEnergy experiencing delays in payments for solar work, shares plunge

21st Aug 2026 13:09

(Alliance News) - eEnergy Group PLC shares plunged on Friday after it said it was experiencing "short-term delays" in receiving payments worth GBP3.2 million.

The London-based green energy services provider fell 20% to 2.01 pence in London afternoon trading on Friday.

The delayed payments relate to work associated with solar photovoltaic systems at 65 Mace sites. eEnergy said the payments are expected to be completed in the coming months.

The company added that it had been granted an extension until the end of February 2027 for the repayment of a GBP500,000 loan. eEnergy also said it had entered into a new GBP500,000 loan agreement with current shareholder and former company director Nigel Burton, which is due to be repaid at the same time.
