Grafton Group PLC - Dublin-based building materials firm - Hires Eric Born to be chief executive officer. Born joins on November 28 and will replace Gavin Slark after he departs as CEO on December 31. Slark is moving to fellow construction products firm SIG PLC to be its new CEO, having held the role at Grafton for 11 years. Born is a Swiss national who was CEO of aviation services provider Swissport International AG for five years. Prior to Swissport, he was CEO of UK logistics firm Wincanton PLC. Wincanton PLC - Wiltshire-based logistics firm - Appoints James Clarke interim chief financial officer as search for a permanent hire progresses. This follows November announcement that CFO Tim Lawlor is leaving to join Countryside Properties PLC. Lawlor will step down from his executive role at Wincanton at end of February, and Clarke will assume interim CFO rile on March 1. "James is an experienced member of the group's finance team having held a number of roles at Wincanton since 2017 and he is currently the finance director, operations," firm notes, adding that search for permanent successor to Lawlor progressing with both internal and external candidates under consideration.
