URA Holdings PLC - Africa-focused mineral exploration company - Announces pretax loss widens to GBP561,000 in the first half of 2024 from GBP388,000 a year prior. URA highlights it started emerald production at the Gravelotte mine in the Limpopo province of South Africa in April. Looking ahead, Chair Edward Nealon says: "By employing advanced mining techniques and sustainable practices, we aim to lay a strong foundation for future profitability and build up production so that Gravelotte's Cobra brand recovers its once-renowned reputation.
