SSE PLC - Perth, Scotland-based electricity generator - Signs GBP1 billion 12-year bank facility with a group of its relationship banks, led by Bank of America Corp. The facility is back by a GBP800 million financial guarantee from the UK government's National Wealth Fund and is ring-fenced as a 'green loan' to support SSEN Transmission projects. The funds will be used for grid upgrade projects taking place in the the north of Scotland.
