Serica earlier Tuesday said it agreed to buy some southern North Sea assets from Spirit Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of Centrica PLC. Centrica owns 69% of Spirit Energy. Serica will pay GBP57 million for the assets, which include Spirit Energy's 15% interest in the Cygnus gas field, and all other producing assets in the Greater Markham area and southern North Sea.
