Prospex Energy PLC - Europe-focused gas and power project investor - Announces the start of gas production from the Podere Maiar-1 gas facility at the Selva field in the Po Valley region of northern Italy. First gas was achieved following the completion of operation and safety inspections. This will provide the company with its maiden revenue from the Selva Malvezzi production concession in Italy. Po Valley Energy Ltd is the operator of the Selva Malvezzi production concession in which Prospex holds a 37% stake. Mark Routh, Prospex's chief executive comments: "The team at Po Valley continues to deliver on behalf of the joint venture and the new gas plant facility and grid connection has been approved by the Italian national Transmission System Operator. Prospex Energy PLC - investor in onshore and shallow offshore European gas and power projects - Says Po Valley Energy Ltd has secured ownership of the land for its Podere Maiar well site in the Selva gas field in Italy. Prospex holds a 37% interest in the Podere Maiar licence, while Po Valley holds the remaining 63%. Prospex says all materials related to the 1km gas pipeline have arrived on site, including the 4-inch steel pipe that will be used for construction of the pipeline connecting Podere Maiar to the national gas grid. Expenditure relating to land titles and pipeline remain within budget. Podere Maiar, which is in north east Italy, is expected to deliver first gas in the second quarter of 2023. Read More

The installation of solar panels on the roof of the plant is expected to complete by the end of July. This, it adds, will increase sales of electricity from the plant and give it a total installed peak capacity of 41.5 kilowatt hours.
