Capital & Regional PLC - London-based real estate investment trust focused on community shopping centres - Says a transaction that sees NewRiver REIT PLC acquire Capital & Regional has been sanctioned at a court hearing on Friday. The deal is conditional only on the delivery of a copy of the court order to the Registrar of Companies, which is expected to occur on Tuesday next week. Expects its listing on the London Stock Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange to be suspended on the same day. In September, Capital & Regional accepted the offer from NewRiver, valuing Capital & Regional at GBP147 million. Respective shareholders from both companies approved the deal early last month.
