Loungers PLC - Bristol-based operator of Lounge, Cosy Club and Brightside cafes and bars - Opens Verdetto Lounge, its 200th venue under the Lounge brand, in Buckingham, England. Says the "landmark site," offering all-day food and drink, is designed as a "home-from-home" for local people and to bring positive change to the community. Lounge intends to open 34 new sites across all three brands in the current financial year, and Verdetto brings its total estate size to 238 sites with 35 Cosy Club and three Brightside branches. Says each new Lounge brings almost GBP1 million of investment into its local high street. Read More

The share sale was to settle a tax bill, Loungers says, and Reilley retains 6.8 million shares, a 6.5% stake. Before the market open on Wednesday, Loungers released its annual results.
