Jet2 PLC - Leeds, England-based leisure travel operator - Tells annual general meeting it is on track to exceed current market expectations for financial 2024 profit before tax and currency movements. It expects this to be between GBP480 million and GBP520 million, compared to the consensus expectation cited by Jet2 of GBP466.5 million and financial 2023's GBP390.8 million. This is despite absorbing GBP13 million in costs and lost margin from the wildfires in popular holiday destination Rhodes and from the UK air traffic control system outage last week.
