Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust PLC - Edinburgh-based investment trust, which invests primarily in UK securities - Net asset value per share as at April 30 falls by 7.5% to 182.78 pence per share, from 197.70 pence on October 31. NAV total return for the period is down 7.5%, compared to a fall of 1.5% in the S&P Global Smaller Companies index. For the six months ended on April 30, net return before tax falls to GBP58,705 from GBP458,073 the year before. Looking ahead, says it remains confident that the holdings in the portfolio represent "a collection of some of the most exciting and transformational long-term investment opportunities available".
