Dekel Agri-Vision PLC - West Africa-focused agriculture project developer with a palm oil operation and a cashew processing plant in the Ivory Coast - Says its Ayenouan palm oil project "delivered another solid month" with crude palm oil production rising 6.6% in July to 2,379 tonnes from 2,231 tonnes in the same month last year. Sales however dropped 41% to 3,340 tonnes from 5,623 tonnes, while the average price decreased 4.4% to EUR778 per tonne from EUR814. The CPO extraction rate increased to 20.7% from 19.3%. Dekel says however that year to date CPO production met market expectations; prices remained "historically strong"; and decreased sales quantities were "purely [due to] a timing difference" with last year's peak having occurred later in the first half. Crude palm oil production climbs 2.8% to 1,723 tonnes from 1,677 tonnes. Average CPO price per tonne however falls 26% to EUR788 from EUR1,057. Further, CPO sales decrease by 5.4% to 1,483 tonnes from 1,567 tonnes. Palm kernel oil production increases 15% to 150 tonnes from 131 tonnes. Dekel Agri-Vision PLC - West Africa-focused agricultural company - Says it processed 114,745 tonnes of fresh fruit bunch in the first half of 2023, up 52% from 75,448 tonnes the prior year. Adds that its crude palm oil output in the last six months grew by 49% to 25,166 tonnes from 16,893 tonnes the year before. Notes the average price for CPO is EUR934 per tonne, a decrease from EUR1,013 in the first half of 2021. Palm kernel oil output grew by 24% to 1,442 tonnes from 1,162 the year prior, while sales fell to 515 tonnes from 1,180 tonnes. Adds that the average PKO price per tonne fell to EUR947 from EUR1,454. Says it was necessary to slow down its gradual increase in daily cashew output to deal with "teething issues" related to the addition of 10 new shelling machines.
