Says two submersible pumps will be installed at New Cooks Kitchen shaft for stage one of the two-stage mine dewatering programme, and the first pump installation is already underway. Says the installation of the second pump will take place before the end of June. Adds a substantial amount of a feasibility study is complete, with results confirming historical operating data and that ground conditions and excavation stability are expected to be "very good." Says the water treatment plant is approaching completion and the company is now turning its attention to starting and commissioning mine dewatering activities this summer.
