Clean Power Hydrogen PLC - Doncaster, Yorkshire-based green hydrogen technology and manufacturing company - Signs non-binding memorandum of understanding with Constant Energy Ltd, an energy developer in Ireland. Constant Energy was recently granted planning permission for the Killala energy hub, a proposed hydrogen and energy centre in County Mayo in Ireland, Clean Power Hydrogen says. "The proposed site will link wind and solar energy production in the vicinity to Constant Energy's site for the production of green hydrogen utilising CPH2's membrane-free electrolyser [MFE] technology. The produced hydrogen is intended to be utilised in a gas peaking plant, for export to the surrounding gas grid as well as for a hydrogen filling station servicing fuel cell electric vehicles," it adds. Under the terms of the MoU, the companies will negotiate the terms of a binding sale & purchase agreement under which Constant Energy intends to buy an initial five 1 megawatt MFE220 units from Clean Power Hydrogen, to be operational in 2027 and 2028.
